The NC4000 route enters Sweden from the south and tracks north through Norrbotten before crossing into Norway for the final push to Nordkapp. The Norrbotten section takes cyclists through some of the most dramatic and undervisited landscape in northern Europe: pine forest, river valleys, and villages that have been here for centuries.
The route passes close to Piteå and through or near the villages of Markbygden, including Koler, where The Old Skoler has hosted NC4000 riders for the past two summers.
Most NC4000 riders plan their route using Komoot, which has the full NC4000 route loaded and shows nearby points of interest. Accommodation providers listed on Hitta Ditt Sverige are eligible to appear as POIs on the Komoot route when our data licensing partnership is active.
